Thriller Challenge 2025

The "Thriller" album spent a record-breaking 37 weeks at #1 on the Billboard chart in total, yet the single only reached #4. In recent years, fans have streamed, bought, and requested the song to push it higher on the charts.

In 2025, the goal is different:
Get the song "Thriller" to #1 on Spotify and Apple Music on Halloween.

The event runs October 31 – November 1, targeting the two biggest streaming days to make "Thriller" Halloweens biggest hit.

The best way to join the Thriller Challenge 2025 is by streaming. Use the playlists below for maximum impact.

Streaming Do’s and Don’ts

Do:
  • Only use the versions from the original "Thriller" album, "Thriller 25", or "Thriller 40" only.
  • Use the official playlists from the website.
  • Start streaming at 12:01 AM ET (use the world time converter to find your local time).
  • Engage every 1–2 hours (like, pause, skip) to keep streams valid.
  • Stream online—offline plays only count once you reconnect.
  • If making your own playlist, add Thriller every third song.
Don’t:
  • Loop the song (seen as bot behavior).
  • Use a VPN.
  • Mute from the streaming platform—mute your device or headphones instead.
